I’m really impressed with what Google has done with Google Voice for the iPhone. The new Web app looks great in both form and function, and the app icon displayed on the iPhone makes Google Voice feel right at home.

The 60′s Are Back With Vintage Video Maker
I’ve always enjoyed transforming my iPhone photo’s into cool looking vintage shots that many apps allow you to do with the push of a button. However, the same capabilities for video on the 3GS have been slow to hit the app store. Probably because the development process takes some time to bring them to market.
Polarize Your Cool Shots
I found a cool photo app today and it’s called Polarize by Christopher Comair. It does a pixel by pixel rendition of your photo for the best polarized quality. You can even add a caption at the bottom around the white frame. The polarized example is a photo I took from the cockpit. Definitely worth a download if you like to enhance your pics before you send them off to your friends. Very cool…and it’s free!
One Of The Best Apps Isn’t Even An App
Who knew you could add all sorts of calendars to your iPhone calendar? You name it, iCal World – courtesy of BGR) has it. Plus, it’s really easy to populate your calendar – with everything from US Holidays to movie releases or even something obscure, such as The Broom Street Theatre schedule. It looks like they have thousands of calendars from which you can choose to subscribe.
Camera Zoom…Zoom In, Zoom Out!
There are many features we would really like that Apple seems to continually leave out of their native software. Zooming in and out is one of them.
Camera Zoom, one of the top 10 apps in the app store, has gotten a bad rap by users lately – for not being 3.0 compatible. Well, complain no more! It has finally been updated and works better than ever. It features up to 4x digital zoom and adjusts photo for best quality automatically. You can review your zoomed pics from within the app. You can even zoom in and out in real time while taking pictures.
Now, thanks to the creators over at kenditech, we can enjoy added functionalities with our cameras.
Scan It.. iPhone Style
A few months ago I finally cut ties with my landline, and I had a good number too. But one thing I forgot about was that I was also giving up my fax machine. I often have to fax docs to the office. I guess I could scan it into my computer and email it from there, but that’s a pain. Well, thanks to DocScanner, I’m back in business! Just take a picture of your doc, select size and quality (you can even crop the image), save as PDF and send as an email, all right from the app. It’s not cheap at $9.99, but it’s highly useful.
